一個高聳的人物佔滿了這幅插圖，由H. Pisan刻版。多雷把淺色的袍子和石版襯在黑沉沉的暴風雨天空上，角落裡還有一道分叉的閃電。
摩西赤腳大步走下山來，拿著兩塊頂端呈圓形、寫滿一行行文字的法版。他的右手指向上方。兩道長長的光從他頭上升起。左下方，一群人在黑暗中等候，有的舉起手來。
