在1866年圖爾版《聖經》的這幅插圖中，多雷畫了畫稿，A. Ligny刻成木版；兩人的名字都在紙的底部，多雷的在左，刻版師的在右。
場景是一間樸素的屋子，上面是傾斜的木梁屋頂。一道寬闊的光從右上方傾瀉進來，光中浮著一個拿著百合花、有翅膀的人物。馬利亞坐在木桌旁的一張矮凳上，雙臂交叉在胸前，睜大眼睛轉向光亮。
