多雷在這幅插圖的左下角署了名，刻版公司Pannemaker-Doms署在右邊。將近一半的畫面是空曠的天空，用長而均勻的橫線刻成，使這一頁顯得十分靜謐。
在一道光禿禿的山脊上，下面是一條河蜿蜒流過的寬闊山谷，兩個女人緊緊相擁，臉貼著臉。稍遠處，第三個女人用手掩著臉走開。別的什麼都不動；淡淡的光和空曠的土地使這次分別十分安靜。
