多雷把这幅插图构成大地上一道深深的裂缝，黑色的岩壁从两边逼近。光从上方照来，那里的边缘站着帐棚和人；光也从底下的火中透出。
三个身穿祭司袍子的人头朝下跌进裂口，手里还提着用链子挂的香炉。一只沉重的雕花箱子和一顶帐棚跟着翻落下去。上面的人们转身奔逃，举起双臂。烟和火焰从下面升起。
