押沙龍之死

多雷為1866年圖爾版《聖經》畫了這幅森林場景，在右下角署名的刻版師把樹葉刻成了密密的小卷紋。
一棵巨大的橡樹佔滿畫面，彎曲的枝幹在森林上空伸展。樹葉下的陰影裡掛著一個黑影——押沙龍，頭被掛住，他的騾子從他身下走開了。光亮處，約押騎馬衝來，舉著三杆短槍，他的士兵跟在後面。
