刻版师A. Gusmand在这幅插图的右下角署了名。多雷没有把场景放在光秃秃的山顶上，而是放在一片荫凉的树林里，并用树木作画框：两边是树干，头顶枝叶交会，中间一片光。
耶稣坐在中央，头上有光芒四射的光环，举起一只手，门徒们紧紧围在他身边。前面，众人坐在地上：带着孩子的妇女、老人、一个拄着拐杖的男人。最左边竖着一棵棕榈树。
