这幅插图上没有可辨认的刻版师名字，只有多雷的签名在左下角。几乎整幅都是树：黑色的树干和枝叶一直升到纸的顶端，只分开一次，透进淡淡的夜空。
在那道空隙中，远处的一处高地上，耶稣独自站着，一个仰着脸的小小人物。前景中，三个门徒睡在草地上：一个背过身去，一个用胳膊肘支着，一个仰面躺着。
