多雷为1866年的《圣经》把这一场景画成黄昏时的行路，右下角署名的C. Laplante把它刻在木版上。天空由长长的横线构成，越近地平线越亮。
年轻的以撒赤着脚，肩上扛着一大捆树枝，在前面攀上一条多石的小路。他后面跟着亚伯拉罕，一位披着厚重深色斗篷、拄着杖的老人。右边立着棕榈树，远山和一片湖映着最后的余晖。
