The Holy Land, by Tobias Conrad Lotter

Mapmaker: Lotter, Tobias Conrad · Year: 1759

Published in Augsburg in 1759 by Tobias Conrad Lotter, son-in-law and successor of Matthäus Seutter. It shows the old kingdoms of Judah and Israel divided into the twelve tribes; a small inset at the lower right traces the forty years of wandering from Egypt to Canaan station by station. In the cartouche stands a high priest with the tablets of the Law and a lampstand.
