Skete of St Anne
Tradition
One of the oldest sketes of Athos. Pilgrims venerate a relic kept here, by tradition the foot of St Anne, the mother of the Mother of God.
Here today
Small houses of monks on a steep slope above the sea around a church of the 17th–18th centuries; the path up the mountain starts nearby.
