Mount Serbal
In the Bible
In the third month Israel set out from Rephidim, entered the Wilderness of Sinai and camped there in front of the mountain.
Exod 19:1–2
In the third month, on the same day of the month that the Israelites had left the land of Egypt, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai. After they had set out from Rephidim, they entered the Wilderness of Sinai, and Israel camped there in front of the mountain.Tradition
Some 19th-century scholars argued that Serbal, rising above Feiran, was the mountain of the law; most pilgrims since Byzantine times have followed the tradition of Jebel Musa.
