Tissot called this sheet The Communion of the Apostles. Jesus stands at the head of a table in white and holds out a piece of bread to the disciples, who kneel and bow around the table with their hands together.
A cup stands on the white tablecloth. The walls are hung with heavy patterned curtains in rust and green, and a few lamps glimmer high in the dark.

- “In the same way, after supper He took the cup” (Luke 22:20)
