New Hieromartyrs Priests Michael, Alexis, Demetrius, Sergius, Sergius and Deacon Nicholas, Venerable Martyrs Ioasaph, Natalia and Alexandra

On 22 March 1938, during the Great Terror, clergy and church people of the Moscow diocese died on the same day. Among them were the archpriest Sergius Lebedev and the priests Demetrius Glivenko, Alexis Smirnov and Sergius Tsvetkov, all born between 1869 and 1879, the novice Natalia Ulyanova and the nun Alexandra Samoilova. The day also remembers the priest Michael, the deacon Nicholas and the monk Ioasaph. They were canonized in 2001 and 2003.
