Commemorated: February 16 (February 3, Old Style)
Life
This day remembers six people who died for their faith in 1938, at the height of the Great Terror in the Soviet Union: the priests John Tomilov of the Tver diocese, Timothy Izotov, Adrian Troitsky of the Ivanovo diocese and Basil Zalessky of the Astrakhan diocese, the monk Vladimir, and the layman Michael Agaev of the Moscow region. The Russian Church numbered them among its new martyrs between 2000 and 2005.
