Hieromartyr Zenobios, Bishop of Aegea, and his sister Zenobia in Cilicia

Zenobius and his sister Zenobia were born at Aegae in Cilicia to Christian parents who left them a large inheritance. Their Life says they gave it all to the poor; Zenobius, who was known for healing the sick, was chosen bishop of his native city.

During the persecution of Diocletian he was brought before the governor Lysias. Zenobia came of her own accord to share his sufferings, and after tortures both were beheaded, c. 285.
